Return and Exchange Policy

1. Overview

At LACYFROST, our goal is to deliver high-quality frame house construction services and components tailored to each client’s unique vision. Due to the custom-built nature of our products and services, our return and exchange policy reflects the specific conditions under which returns, exchanges, or modifications are possible.


2. Custom Projects and Services

Most of our services involve custom design, on-site construction, and the use of materials specifically ordered or fabricated for your project. As such:

  • Custom-built frame houses and construction services are non-returnable and non-refundable once work has begun or materials have been ordered.
  • All sales are considered final after the client signs the project agreement and the construction process has commenced.

We encourage clients to review all project plans, materials, and specifications thoroughly before final approval.


3. Return or Exchange of Materials and Components

In certain cases, if prefabricated or standard materials (e.g., windows, doors, hardware) are purchased separately and have not yet been used or installed, they may be eligible for return or exchange, subject to the following conditions:

  • The item is unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging
  • The return request is made within 14 days of delivery
  • The item was not modified or custom-ordered for your project
  • A restocking fee may apply (typically 10–25%, depending on the supplier)
  • Return shipping or pickup costs are the responsibility of the client

4. Damaged or Defective Items

If a product or material is delivered damaged or defective, please notify us within 5 business days of delivery. We will work with you to:

  • Inspect the issue
  • Replace or repair the item (subject to supplier policies)
  • Assist in filing a warranty claim, if applicable

Photographic evidence may be required to process claims for damaged or defective items.


5. Project Changes and Modifications

We understand that changes may arise during the planning or construction process. Minor modifications may be possible depending on the project stage. Please note:

  • Change requests must be submitted in writing
  • Additional costs, delays, or material restocking fees may apply
  • Some changes may not be feasible once construction or fabrication has begun

6. Non-Returnable Items

The following items and services are non-returnable and non-refundable:

  • Custom-designed building components or architectural plans
  • Labor and construction services already completed
  • Materials that have been installed or altered
  • Special-order or personalized items
  • Permit, inspection, or administrative fees

7. Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your project before construction begins:

  • You may be eligible for a partial refund, minus administrative fees and the cost of any work already completed (e.g., planning, design, consultations, or ordered materials)
  • Cancellations must be made in writing and approved by LACYFROST
  • Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 14 business days of approval
